Adaptive Horsemanship
Where Confidence, Connection, and Capability Come to Life
At Affinity Ranch, Adaptive Horsemanship is more than a riding program; it is a foundational experience that builds strength, independence, and belonging.
As part of the leading equine-assisted services campus in the South Metro area, our Adaptive Horsemanship program is intentionally designed to meet individuals where they are and help them move forward with confidence—physically, emotionally, and socially.
Led by PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors, each session is tailored to the unique needs, goals, and abilities of every participant.
What Is Adaptive Horsemanship?
Adaptive Horsemanship is an equine-assisted service that adapts traditional riding and horsemanship skills to support individuals with differing abilities.
At Affinity Ranch, this includes both:
-
Mounted activities (riding and skill development)
-
Ground-based experiences (horse care, handling, and relationship-building)
Each lesson is thoughtfully structured using engaging activities, games, and skill progression to create an experience that is both purposeful and enjoyable.

Our Approach: More Than Riding—A Pathway to Growth
What makes Adaptive Horsemanship at Affinity Ranch unique is how it fits within our integrated campus model.
Participants are not simply taking a lesson; they are part of a larger community where:
-
Horses are carefully selected and managed for therapeutic impact
-
Lessons are supported by trained volunteers and staff
-
Growth is reinforced through consistency, structure, and relationship
This environment allows individuals, especially those who may not thrive in traditional settings, to experience meaningful progress in a way that feels natural and empowering.
