Donation FAQs
Below are the frequently asked questions about donating of Affinity Ranch. If you can't find an answer here, please email us at info@AffinityRanch.org - there are also FAQs about Clients, Programs, and Volunteering.
When is the best time to stop by to make a physical donation?
Our front desk is staffed Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., which is the best time to drop off physical donations.
If you need to make arrangements outside of these hours, please contact our office at 303-841-4043 to schedule a convenient time.
For donations of farm or large supplies (such as fencing, T-posts, or similar items), we kindly ask that you coordinate in advance so we can ensure staff are available to assist with unloading.
How do I make a financial donation?
Donations can be made securely online by visiting www.affinityranch.org and clicking the “Donate Now” button. You will receive a tax receipt for your generous contribution.
Donations may also be made by check, payable to Affinity Ranch, and mailed to:

I would like to pick things to donate - do you have a wish list?
Yes, we have several wish lists. You can donate through Amazon here or through Chewy here.
Are there any volunteer services you need?
Yes. As a working ranch, Affinity Ranch periodically needs both skilled trade support and professional volunteer assistance. If you have experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical work, landscaping, fencing, grant writing, fundraising, or other specialized skills, we would welcome the opportunity to connect with you as needs arise.

Do you take in horses and other animals?
Affinity Ranch is not an animal or horse rescue. All animals on our property are carefully selected and intentionally integrated into our programming. Our horses participate in equine-assisted therapy and mental health services; our goats and chickens support mental health and supported employment programs; and our cats serve as part of our welcoming environment and assist with pest control.
As such, we are unable to accept animals that are not directly involved in our programs. If you have a horse that you believe may be a good fit as a therapy partner, please visit our Equine Intake Form webpage and complete the application to begin the evaluation process.
I have a Horse I want to donate or lease to your program - how does that work?
Please go to: https://www.affinityranch.org/donate-a-horse and complete an intake form. Our Equine Manager will then contact you to discuss further and schedule a visit if appropriate.
Do you take donations of guinea pigs, barn cats, parrots, etc?
At present, we are not accepting small animals or birds.
I have tack, saddles, horse blankets, saddle stands, horse clothing, etc. that I would like to donate. Can you use it?
Yes. We gladly accept gently used tack and other equine equipment. Items that are appropriate for our programs will be put to immediate use. If an item is not a fit for our current needs, it may be sold at a future tack sale, with all proceeds directly supporting Affinity Ranch programs.
An in-kind donation acknowledgment letter will be provided for your records. Please note that donors are responsible for determining the fair market value of their donated items.
Other than tack, are there other items you would like donated?
Yes! As a working ranch, there are always supplies that help us operate and care for our animals and facilities. Commonly needed items include T-posts, livestock panels, wood posts, fence wire, and garden tools, among others.
We also gratefully accept gift cards to retailers such as Amazon or Chewy (for food, treats, and supplies), as well as Big R and Murdoch’s, which allow us to purchase items as needs arise.
