Leasing or Donating a Horse to Affinity Ranch

Affinity Ranch is always looking for new horses for our herd.

Below is the checklist for a new horse and a copy of our Equine Trial Agreement.  If after reviewing all this, you are interested in having our Equine Manager visit to evaluate your horse, complete the form and we will be in touch.

We are currently looking for horses with the following traits:

​

• ​Any shape / size / breed

• Ages 6 to 16

• Unflappable, well-trained, sound in all gates

• Healthy 

• Calm; able to tolerate beginner, unbalanced, and uncoordinated riders

• Great temperament and loves people

​

Each horse must:
 

• Be completely sound in all four limbs, have a free-moving stride at a walk, trot, and canter and are capable of smooth transitions

• Have a solid, strong back and be physically fit.

• Be well trained under saddle to respond to all four aids: hands, legs, seat, and voice

• Be unflappable

• Be comfortable around a variety of people and with other equines in a herd, at a tie rail, in cross ties, or standing alone.

Our process to accept a horse:

• Complete the Equine Intake Form below..

• After our Equine Manager has reviewed your input, they will contact you to discuss further and schedule a visit if appropriate.

• If we feel your horse would be a good addition to our herd, we will accept them for a trial period to evaluate them. See Equine Trial Agreement form for details about the trial period.

• After the trial period, we will make a determination if the horse will be a good fit and we will proceed from there.
