Volunteer FAQs

• Please go to our website affinityranch.org and click on the volunteer tab. This page will walk you through a step-by-step process to get started with us.

• You must be at least 16 years of age to train to work in our therapy program and a minimum of 14 years of age to volunteer in the barn.

We love volunteer groups at the ranch and appreciate you considering spending time with us. Please reach out to our volunteer coordinator at volunteer@affinityranch.org for more information.

Yes! We welcome student volunteers and are happy to support community service hour requirements. Please note the following age and participation guidelines:

• Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.

• Volunteers ages 14–15 are required to volunteer with a supervising adult.

• Volunteers under the age of 16 may not participate in our therapy programs.

• Due to the inherent safety considerations of a working ranch, we are unable to provide one-on-one supervision for student volunteers.

Students under the age of 18 are not required to complete a background check.

Yes. Affinity Ranch accepts court-ordered community service volunteers for non-violent offenses, subject to review and approval. A background check is required for all court-ordered community service volunteers.
