Psychotherapy Services

At the ranch, we have multiple Psychotherapy Providers.  If you complete our Prospective Client Form, the team will work together to determine who would be the best fit based on a variety of factors including availability and services requested.  Some of the services we have are:

  • Animal/Equine Assisted Therapy: Animal-assisted therapy (AAT), including equine-assisted therapy (EAT), is a therapeutic approach involving interactions between clients and animals to promote emotional, mental, and physical well-being. In AAT, animals like dogs, cats, goats, rabbits, or horses are integrated into therapeutic sessions to help clients work through psychological and physical challenges. Equine-assisted therapy specifically involves horses and is used for various mental health, behavioral, and physical therapy settings.

  • Play Therapy: Play therapy is a therapeutic approach primarily used with children, leveraging play as a natural medium for them to express emotions, explore challenges, and resolve issues. In play therapy, children use toys, art, and games to communicate their thoughts and feelings symbolically, which can be particularly helpful for children who may not have the verbal skills to express themselves directly.

  • Family Therapy: Family therapy provides a supportive, structured space for families to navigate difficulties, build trust, and foster healthier connections by applying modalities that best suit their unique needs. It is designed to strengthen family bonds and support members through challenges, fostering a healthier, more harmonious family environment. Family therapy is effective for various issues, including parenting struggles, marital conflicts, grief, trauma, and behavioral concerns with children or adolescents

  • Couples Therapy:  Couples therapy is a specialized form of therapy focused on helping partners improve their relationship, resolve conflicts, and strengthen emotional and communication bonds. This therapy offers a safe, neutral space where partners can address issues such as trust, intimacy, communication difficulties, conflict resolution, and life transitions. Couples therapy can be a transformative experience, equipping partners with the tools to navigate challenges, deepen mutual respect, and create a foundation for a lasting, healthy relationship.

  • EMDR:  Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals heal from trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and other distressing life experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—such as guided eye movements—to help the brain reprocess difficult memories and reduce their emotional intensity. This approach allows clients to gain relief without needing to extensively discuss the details of their trauma.

  • In addition we can provide counseling for Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD and Autism.

  • During summer breaks, we also offer Wellness Workshops for school age children.  Watch our website for more information

We accept clients into non-animal counseling as early as ages two or three. Animal Assisted Therapy is limited to those four and over and they must be able to wear a helmet and will be screened to verify they are appropriate for this service.

As of June 2025, our providers accept: Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Medicaid, Victims Compensation, Second Wind Fund, and soon to add The Children with Life Limiting Illness Waiver (CLLI waiver) - this is funding available for children and their family members/caregivers.

Private Pay rate is $150.00 per session.
