Interested in Making a Difference? Consider Joining the Affinity Ranch Board of Directors!

At Affinity Ranch, we’re dedicated to empowering youth and adults with differing abilities through innovative therapies and meaningful recreational activities. As a member of our Board of Directors, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our mission and helping to build a welcoming, inclusive community.

​

Board members serve as key leaders within our organization, guiding strategic initiatives, supporting programs, and championing our vision. If you’re passionate about creating positive change and helping others grow, we invite you to complete this interest form.

 

Applications will be reviewed by the current Board of Directors. If selected, we’ll contact you to schedule an interview and discuss the next steps.

Our Mission is: To enhance the lives of individuals with differing abilities by fostering skill development, self-confidence, and a strong sense of belonging through equine and animal-assisted therapies, recreational activities, vocational training, and mental health support.

Our Vision is: A future where individuals of differing abilities are empowered to lead meaningful, independent lives and volunteers are inspired and enriched by the profound impact they have in fostering growth and change through a compassionate community of strong, lasting connections built on shared experiences.

The board works in collaboration with each other and the Executive Director. The Executive Director manages daily operations and reports to the Board of Directors. 

  • There is an expectation from board members to know our financials, mission, policies, programs, mission statement, vision statement, core values and needs. 

  • Board members need to act as advocates and ambassadors for the organization by fully participating in in person events where able or programming beyond typical volunteer duties.

  • Board members should fully engage in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the ranch to advance its mission. This may be through active donors and sponsorships, solicitations or personal donation.

  • Board members leverage personal connections and networks as well as any resources to develop collective action to fully achieve the Ranch’s mission, reputation and public influence.

  • Board members are expected to prepare for, attend and consciously participate in board meetings every month. 

 

We ask that Board members commit to serving a minimum term of one year.
